Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Rob Rouse, El Baldiniho, and host Danny O'Brien

Show details:

Rob Rouse

Rob Rouse

Rob Rouse is a man who doesn't know the meaning of the word calm. Full of beans, Rob can't slow down, and why would he when he makes so many people laugh. Rob first made the leap into stand up comedy in the late 1990s, touring the university circuits. In 1998 he won the prestigious 'So You Think You're Funny' competition at the Edinburgh Festival.

As seen on Dave's One Night Stand, Celebrity Juice, 8 out of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project, and much more, Rob is one of comedy’s most lively, loveable and dynamic performers.

Performing a rare club show, whilst in between tours, expect stories of his life as a father, his encounters with road-kill and his life as the beleaguered owner of the most spectacularly randy dog you’re ever likely to hear about...

“He’s a man with genuinely funny bones” - Sunday Times

“Rob Rouse is a born clown, a latter-day Stan Laurel” - Time Out

“Every single one of these everyday observations and shared recognitions is blown out of the mainstream by his electric-shock treatment of the material... You want to hug his brain for coming up with this stuff, even as you want to wash his mouth out with soap for saying it” - The Herald

El Baldiniho

El Baldiniho

EL Baldiniho is a funny, “larger than life” (i.e overweight) comedy magician performing throughout the UK to a vast range of audiences.

One of the most versatile newer acts on the circuit, his brand of magic, comedy, and spoof mind-reading always hits the spot – whether at professional comedy clubs, cabaret nights, theatre shows, student nights, family friendly festivals or events for children.

On the comedy circuit since 2010, El Baldiniho has seen a meteoric rise to the middle end of the UK comedy scene, having performed at Camp Bestival, The Larmer Tree Festival, Wychwood Festival, and at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone

“A fun filled sold-out success” - Canterbury International Festival

“Does one of the funniest jokes I’ve ever seen” - Rich Hall

“A smart, slightly surreal, very daft amazing act” - Mark Makin, Makin Projects Theatre Producer

Danny O'Brien

Danny O'Brien

Danny has been performing stand-up comedy for over seven years, performing regularly at top comedy clubs and festivals in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the US.

He performed his first solo show at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival to rave reviews. That year he also scooped the title of "Dublin's Funniest Comedian" at the prestigious Stand Up For FM104.

Danny went on to beat 16 of Ireland's best up-and-coming acts and take the coveted Toilet Duck Award at Tedfest 2013 (the now-famous Father Ted celebration). He has supported such acts as Ardal O'Hanlon, Colin Murphy, Brendon Burns, and Wilson Dixon to name but a few. In 2013, Danny also took part in Irish TV show The RTE Comedy Awards and released his first comedy album on iTunes as part of the Irish Underground Comedy Show.

An accomplished compere, he is the resident host and owner of The Comedy Crunch in Dublin, one of Ireland’s busiest comedy clubs, he also hosted The Comedy Crunch tent at last year’s Vodafone Comedy Festival in Dublin.

Danny has also performed back-to-back sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and has been invited to perform at comedy festivals around the world.
