Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Seymour Mace, Jack Campbell, and host Andy Fury
Replacing Dave Johns, due to filming commitments:
Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee 2015
As seen on Dave's One Night Stand and starring in Ideal and Hebburn, Seymour Mace's surreal free form stand up takes the audience on a slightly off-beat flight of fancy, with his childlike and often childish explorations into relationships and naive investigations into why things are. Follow the hilarity into his charmed mind to see through his eyes... life, the universe and bears!
Seymour was the winner of the Newcastle Comedy Festival Big Grin Award 2000, winner of the Cup-A-Soup Challenge 2001, finalist in Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny 2001 and semi-finalist in the BBC New Act Competition 2002. Seymour was City Life Comedian of the Year in 2003 and Best Breakthrough Act at the North West Comedy Awards in 2004.
Since then, he has featured in the first five series of “Ideal” on BBC Three, and is now unable to walk down the street without being recognised by the nation’s stoners. Seymour's world is a unique one, but enter it and you'll leave all the better for the experience...
“Made me completely lose myself to laughter” - The Times
“Like a terrifying clown hiding under your bed” - The Skinny
“It's a shambles, but it's brilliantly put together...Seymour Mace deserves not to be niche. He is random, passionate, funny and ingenious. He's only niche because you haven't seen him yet” - Fest
Jack Campbell is a hardworking and hilarious comedian who reached new heights in 2014 when he was outright winner of the English Comedian of the Year Competition. Not that Jack is any stranger to taking home the trophy - the Nottingham Comedy Festival Best Newcomer of 2012 sits on his mantlepiece already.
Jack is based in Cambridgeshire and drives all over the UK to perform for many of the best comedy clubs, as well as gigging in Australia, Finland, Estonia and Latvia in the last twelve months. As well as his high profile competition wins he has also been runner up in both the Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year competition in 2014 and the Tickled Pig Student Competition in 2012.
“Gets hearty laughs, 100% funny” - Broadway Baby
“Jack Campbell secured the English Comedian Of The Year title by offering up the most original take on things” - Chortle
“Funny and refreshingly inventive” - House of Stand Up
Despite starting comedy out of “sheer boredom” just a few years ago, Andy Fury has impressed a lot of people in a short space of time with a wonderful mix of self-deprecating dark jokes and off the wall surrealism.
With a laidback stage presence that sometimes borders horizontal, he’s as hard-working as he is funny and winning the Hilarity Bites New Act Of The Year 2010 title has put Andy on the path to working at many of the best clubs in the country, wowing audiences the length and breadth of the UK.
“An absolute genius of a comedian” - BBC
“Brilliant... The next Pub Landlord of comedy” - Hexham Courant
“A very funny man with a big future ahead of him” - Corby Radio
This show will also feature a newer act in the middle.
