Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Christian Reilly, Adam Staunton, and host Tom Houghton
Christian Reilly is both a Perrier and Chortle award-winning musical comedian with “sex, politics and rock 'n' roll” (The Scotsman) in the key of grrr.
As a former integral part of the Perrier award-winning show Otis Lee Crenshaw and the Black Liars, with comic/songster Rich Hall, Christian's career has taken him around the world three times. On his way, he received accolades at international festivals and numerous network TV credits in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Britain.
Now a solo stand-up performer, and headlining all the major comedy venues in his own right, Christian uses his dynamic guitar and vocal skills to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians. He wrote and performed for 'That Was Then This Is Now' (BBC Radio 2) as musical counterpart to Richard Herring and Emma Kennedy, as well as giving his improvisation skills an outing on Radio 2's 'Jammin'.
“Blisteringly funny songs” - The Stage
“If you’re a fan of Bill Bailey or Rich Hall, you’re a Christian Reilly fan already” - The Guardian
“The funniest songs I’ve heard in a long time” - The Scotsman
Liverpool’s Adam Staunton may appear diminutive and youthful at first glance but he easily fills a stage and his writing demonstrates the maturity of a far older hand. His confident and demanding stage presence has seen Adam performing alongside John Bishop, Sarah Millican, Jack Whitehall, Phil Nichol and Rob Rouse.
Flexible enough to gig almost anywhere, Adam has performed in pubs, clubs, bars and music festivals, coming highly recommended by promoters and fellow acts up and down the country.
“What he lacks in height he certainly makes up for in talent, getting the biggest laughs of the night” - Three Weeks
Tom Houghton was previously 1/5th of comedy troupe "The Noise Next Door" and is now taking the comedy circuit by storm with his quick wit, charming persona and ludicrous comedy songs.
Regularly performing up and down the country and abroad, you may even have caught him on Channel Fours "First Dates Hotel", or at his sell-out debut Edinburgh Fringe show, which went on tour in early 2018.
Strap in and be prepared to have your funny bones tickled and your levels of decency questioned by one of the hottest new acts around.
