Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. George Zach, Tony Simpson, and host Ray Bradshaw
George moved from Greece to study Biochemistry in Newcastle Upon Tyne and, in doing so, avoided joining the Greek army for his national service. He discovered stand-up soon after and has gone to sell out his show Greek Tragedy at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and support Luisa Omielan on her Am I Right Ladies tour. Recent BBC One appearances include the One Show and numerous appearances on This Week, discussing the Greek financial crisis.
Fortunately for George it turned out that he has quite the grasp of the English language, and also the fine art of comedy, including his witty observations on dating Geordie lasses and helpful translations of everyday Geordie phrases.
“George Zach went down well with the crowd and got some of the bigger laughs of the night. Really likeable act should go far” - Giggle Beats

Tony Simpson is a topical comedy writer who enjoys sharing his, sometimes surreal, views on life and topical news stories.
Energy, positivity and vitality create the foundation of his shows and he relishes reaching out to the audience and dragging them along.
His love of life and failing to find love are subjects he often covers, but not in a way one would expect. His unique approach to the subject will have you cringing and laughing along with him.
A happy, positive and cheeky chap, Tony’s persona appeals to a wide audience and enables him to adapt to a variety of situations. He thrives on engaging people and making everyone feel at ease as if they are visiting his house as friends for a night out.
“Tony closed the night beautifully. Cheeky and charming in equal measure” - Speakeasy
“One of the best comedy prospects we have seen for a long time” - Buzz Comedy
“Had a great night. Tony was brilliant” - BBC Radio York
Having made his comedy debut in September 2008, Ray has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting new acts on the comedy circuit. A two time Scottish Comedian of The Year finalist, Ray has travelled the lengths and breadths of the country telling jokes to anyone that will listen, making his name as an MC for various promoters.
Ray’s solo show, “I Dare Ray To…” has been performed to sell-out audiences at the Glasgow Comedy Festival in 2013 and 2014, and the Adelaide Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Festival in 2015. Ray has also been selected as tour support for several big name acts of late, and was the exclusive support for Ardal O’Hanlon’s 2014 tour of Scotland, as well as supporting Des Clarke on several tour dates.
“Affable Glaswegian Ray Bradshaw compered and he instantly had the busy venue in stitches” - Edinburgh Evening News
