Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Scott Bennett, Danny Posthill, and host Katie Mulgrew
Replacing Dave Johns, due to filming commitments:
Stylishly shirted, Yorkshire-born Scott Bennett delivers wry observations on the absurdity of modern living. His sharply-written routines, drawn from real-life experiences have been delighting audiences across the country; except in Yorkshire, where they are deeply suspicious of his shirts.
In 2013 Scott Headlined the prestigious Big Value Show for Just The Tonic at the Edinburgh Fringe, following in the footsteps of Sarah Millican, Jason Manford, Josie Long, Jim Jeffries and Seann Walsh, amongst others. He's one of the fastest rising stars on the circuit, with regular bookings at Glee, Frog and Bucket and Jongleurs comedy clubs.
“Naturally hilarious, the highlight of the evening” - ★★★★ - Broadway Baby
“A star of the future” - Huddersfield Examiner
“Scott was fantastic, by far received the best response of the night. Brilliantly written material and wonderfully delivered” - Love Comedy
Britain's Got Talent finalist Danny Posthill’s career began at the young age of 16, making people laugh with hilarious impressions at his school talent show. Since then, comedy became Danny’s passion.
Skilled with a versatile act that caters for all audiences, Danny offers unbeatable stand up and a range of impressions such as Billy Connolly, Jimmy Carr, and Lee Evans, to guarantee an unforgettable night of laughter.
Danny has performed all around the world, from the Mediterranean to South America, and is gaining recognition on the UK circuit as one of the most promising British comedians.
“Impressionist Danny Posthill brings a bevy of other characters with him including Billy Connolly, David Beckham, Gary Barlow, Michael McIntyre, John Bishop, Alan Carr – and is funny in his own right too” - Richard Batson, EDP24
“Effortless performer of the highest quality” - Joke Club Comedy Clubs
“What a talented comedian” - Tim Vine
Lancashire comedian, Katie Mulgrew really likes making people laugh. It’s kinda her thing. She gigs all over the country in comedy clubs doing just that, to mostly success. She also makes her Mum laugh loads.
She’s done lots of lovely things whilst being a comedian like being tour support for The Boy With Tape On His Face and Vikki Stone. She has written for The News Quiz and you can hear her dulcet Northern tones featured on the BBC Radio 2 documentary series, The History of British Comedy. She got to be very silly indeed on a couple of episodes of the CBBC show, The Dog Ate My Homework. She recently co-hosted a Tv pilot on ITV2 called Lovefix.
Katie has performed three solo stand up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and is currently working on her fourth show when she’s not consumed with trying to keep the human she has made alive.
“Mulgrew is an engaging, likeable presence who doesn’t struggle to hold the audience’s attention. This is a well-structured thoughtful show.. radiating warmth” - Chortle
“charmingly honest... delightfully tender and thoroughly entertaining” - The Skinny
“...honest, un-cynical comedy that’s rough around the edges but tremendously warm” - Three Weeks
