Hilarity Bites returns to Bishop Auckland Town Hall with BBC Radio 4’s Tom Wrigglesworth closing the show. Tom has multiple plaudits under his belt, including the Chortle Best Show Award and a nomination for the main Edinburgh Comedy Award, which led to a sell out tour of the UK, and runs at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival. Joining Tom is award-winning Norwegian comedian Ingrid Dahle, whilst the always entertaining Lee Kyle returns as host.

A sensational live performer, Yorkshire man, marathon runner and former (double award-winning) Time Out Comedian of the Year, Paul Tonkinson has long upheld his esteemed reputation as one of the finest stand-ups the UK has to offer. Having supported Michael McIntyre on three world tours, Paul is at home on any stage, and never fails to deliver. Joining Paul is the exceptionally slick Geordie comedian Raul Kohli, the cheeky songs of Ant Dewson, and host for the night is the always entertaining Danny Deegan.

Hilarity Bites returns to Bishop Auckland Town Hall with with one of the most distinctive performers on the UK comedy circuit, hilariously surreal Canadian comedian Tony Law. Tony is a multiple award winner, an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, and his extensive TV and radio credits include Have I Got News For You (BBC One), The Alternative Comedy Experience (Comedy Central), and 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4). Joining Tony is the equally eccentric Zoe, alongside oddball Laurence Tuck in the middle spot, and popular returning host Catherine Young.

September’s show in Bishop Auckland has a truly international flavour, featuring acts from Greece, Ecuador, New Zealand… and Birmingham! Headliner for the night is Greek Geordie comedian George Zacharopoulos, who headlines shows throughout the UK, Europe, Dubai, and Australia, and was recently named Greek Comedian of the Year. Opening the show is 2022 Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent award nominee Jules O’Brian, whilst in the middle spot we’ve the totally unique El Purnell, Ecuador’s numero uno comedian. Host for the evening is the always popular Kiwi, Sully O’Sullivan.
