DESCRIPTION:*** Unfortunately\, this show has been cancelled. Ticket refunds are available from original point of sale. ***\nHilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. David Hadingham\, Matt Blair\, and host Rick Molland\nShow details:\n \nDavid Hadingham\nLike a mad Phil Daniels\, Dave Hadingham is a bulldog of a comedian\, and the animal allegories don't stop there. In an affectionately\, snarling\, ranting and raving set\, Dave is not afraid to make you laugh about anything (remember the dogs). \nAt his best in the live arena\, Dave has been a professional comic since May 1996. Intense and anecdotal\, he keeps audiences hooked right up to the last punchline as he presents his unique and often warped view of everyday life. \nThis gravel-voiced comic combines supremely controlled delivery with inimitable facial contortions as he cracks some of the best handmade gags in the business. \nDave is a highly-regarded regular on the nationwide comedy circuit\, headlining at all of the biggest clubs in the UK and also performing at resorts across Europe. \n“ranting and raving comic genius” - The Guardian \n“Hilariously funny with notable precision and charisma” - The Scotsman \n  \n \nMatt Blair\nMatt Blair is a storyteller\, songwriter\, and a bit of an idiot. Expect songs\, puns and unique insights into our strange world. He runs a musical comedy night in London and has performed across the country and Europe. America won't let him in. \nMatt has appeared on the comedy circuit for the last 10 years. You will have seen him playing guitar and drums for the likes of Phil Nichol\, Vicki Stone\, Pippa Evans\, and Mitch Benn. He’s also one half of the brilliant double-act Rayguns Look Real Enough. \nMatt is also a co-host of London’s top musical comedy night The Distraction Club. \n“Damnably talented. The Dave Grohl of musical comedy” - Mitch Benn\, The Now Show (BBC Radio 4) \n  \n  \n \nRick Molland\nNot many Englishmen can cut it as an MC in a Scottish Comedy Club - but that's exactly what Rick Molland did every weekend of the year for years. \nAn award winning film maker and former Scottish Comedian of the Year runner-up\, having proven his comedy metal in some of the most formidable environments Scotland has to offer\, including T in the Park\, Rockness\, and The Wickerman Festivals\, Rick Molland is the former resident compère at Edinburgh's Monkey Barrel Comedy Club. \n“no-holds-barred comedy” - Edinburgh Evening News \n“perfect for the role of compere” - Three Weeks \n“ audacious” - The Scotsman \n  \nThis show will also feature a newer act in the middle. \n  \nNote: Line-ups are subject to change in extreme\, and unavoidable\, circumstances.\nShow may contain strong language and adult themes.\n\nBuy tickets:

DESCRIPTION:Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Steve Day\, Pete Phillipson\, and host Meryl O’Rourke\nShow details:\n \nSteve Day\nSteve Day describes himself as Britains only deaf comedian\, and if there are any others then he hasn't heard. Actually there are a couple of others who have started since he wrote that joke\, but it's only a joke after all. \nFor the past dozen years Steve has been performing to huge laughter around the country and abroad - well\, they tell him the laughter was huge to humour him\, he doesn't know either way. \nMarried with five children (a fact nothing to do with not being able to hear the word 'No') Steve has been described as 'warm and witty' by the Scotsman and has received many other rave reviews whilst performing shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Chortle gave him five stars in 2007 for Deafy's Island Discs\, a show The Sunday Times called 'Funny and Moving'. \n“Revelatory and very funny” - The Guardian \n“Warm\, funny\, frank and thought-provoking” - The Scotsman \n“Wonderful” - Bath Chronicle \n  \n \nPete Phillipson\nThroughout his time on the comedy circuit\, Pete Phillipson has been involved in a number of competitions\, including winning Mr Bens New Comedian of the Year and reaching the final of the English Comedian of the year 2014. Pete also performed a fantastically well received show at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival with fellow comic Lewis Charlesworth and recently has been lucky enough to share a bill with Ross Noble and Russell Kane. \nOriginally from Lincolnshire but based in Manchester Pete has been building a name for himself on the circuit as a very funny act over the last few years. Pete mixes fast paced observations and routines with wonderful characterisations\, making him a hit with audiences all over the country. \n“A fantastic addition to any comedy bill” - Buzz Comedy \n“A great act with a big future” - Laughing Stock Comedy \n  \n \nMeryl O'Rourke\nAcclaimed stand-up comic and TV writer Meryl O'Rourke revels in her bitterness. She has delighted comedy audiences\, written some of the best gags on telly and even hosted pop concerts - the last one to 12\,000 people! \nShe is the first winner of the Betty and Peter / Big Talk writing prize\, where she has been gifted a chunk of money to help her write a sitcom with a production company. She was chosen by unanimous decision from over 600 entrants. \nMeryl also supported Frankie Boyle during his 2016 tour\, following support dates for him in 2014\, 2012\, 2011 and 2010 at the Hammersmith Apollo. In his book Work!Consume!Die! he calls Meryl "Inspiringly funny". \nShe is also often heard as reviewer on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row – specialising in comedy and feminism. Meryl has written a pilot sitcom about post-natal depression\, for the head of Radio 4 comedy\, and is a highly praised gag writer - a stolen joke of hers went viral on Facebook\, reaching at least 100\,000 likes and 15 million views (at last count!)\, whilst she's written for many of the biggest comedy programmes in the UK. \n“As near perfect as you can find. Charming delivery keeps the audience in no doubt they've just seen one of this year's fringe highlights” - ★★★★★ – British Comedy Guide \n“Ripe with comedy. A unique perspective: sharp and dark\, and refreshingly unsentimental” - The Observer \n“Truly astonishing show... a must see” - ★★★★★ – The New Current \n  \nThis show will also feature a newer act in the middle. \n  \nNote: Line-ups are subject to change in extreme\, and unavoidable\, circumstances.\nShow may contain strong language and adult themes.\n\nBuy tickets:

SUMMARY:Durham\, June 6th 2019
DESCRIPTION:Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Martin Mor\, Daniel Muggleton\, and host Rick Molland\nShow details:\n \nMartin Mor\nMartin comes from Northern Ireland\, and after a successful career as a circus performer\, he turned his attention on the unsuspecting comedy circuit. With over 25 years experience as a professional performer\, Martin has established himself as one of the UK’s most popular and in-demand comedians. Combining startlingly original material with bold\, energetic improvisation\, his love of working the audience\, and an inability to remember his script\, mean that every show is a unique interactive live event\, and no two shows are ever the same.
\nVery much the comedian’s comedian\, Martin has been the support act of choice for; Frankie Boyle\, Jack Dee\, Lee Evans\, Jasper Carrot\, Patrick Kielty\, Johnny Vegas\, Steve Coogan\, and once Tina Turner. However\, in his own right has performed successfully at events of all description; from the Hammersmith Apollo to a show for the inmates of an Italian prison\, from comedy clubs to performing before members of the British Royal Family.
\nWith numerous appearances on radio and television\, Martin has worked at all levels of the industry; being a warm up man\, devising and performing his own television show\, and writing jokes for some of the biggest names in British comedy - and his photograph is even featured on the popular board game Trivial Pursuits!
\n“Martin is the act that has influenced me the most\, the UK comedy circuit would not be the same without him” - Frankie Boyle \n“Extremely funny” - Peter Kay \n“This guy's great” - George Best \n“He wore us out with laughter... Irrepressible exuberance” - The Scotsman \n  \n \nDaniel Muggleton\nDaniel Muggleton is an Australian stand-up comedian from Sydney\, which is objectively a better city than Melbourne\, just trust him. He is currently based in London\, UK. \nHe has sold out shows at festivals around Australia: Melbourne International Comedy Festival\, Sydney Comedy Festival\, Adelaide Fringe\, Canberra Comedy Festival\, Darwin Fringe & Sydney Fringe - as well as at The Edinburgh Fringe. Daniel was twice selected as a FRESH Artist to Watch at The Sydney Comedy Festival in 2014 & 2015\, he has been invited to perform an encore of his 2016 show ‘Let Me Finish’ at The Comedy Store\, Sydney and performed as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase Tour & Break Out Showcase in 2017.
\nDaniel’s debut album ‘Let Me Finish’ was released in 2017 by Grammy Award-Winning US label Comedy Dynamics. He’s the first Australian comedian they’ve ever produced \nOutside of festivals\, Daniel hosts the annual Jokes To Bang To Comedy Tour of rural universities and has been invited to open for big dogs Neel Kolhatkar and Steve Hofstetter. Once he performed stand-up at a gay wedding in Sydney before they were legal\, because he’s a rebel. \n“Very\, very funny” - Sydney Arts Guide \n“His observations stay just this side of affectionate” - Broadway Baby \n  \n \nRick Molland\nNot many Englishmen can cut it as an MC in a Scottish Comedy Club - but that's exactly what Rick Molland did every weekend of the year for years. \n  \n\nBuy tickets (ticket includes a free glass of wine):
