DESCRIPTION:*** Tickets for this show are now sold-out ***\nHilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Alun Cochrane\, Stephanie Laing\, and host Lee Kyle\nShow details:\n \nAlun Cochrane\nYou'll know Alun Cochrane from TV\, radio\, and being one of the best stand-ups in the UK. \nAlun Cochrane is a no-nonsense comedian who specialises in funny nonsense. Much of his comedy begins simply as something he’s seen\, heard or felt in his own life\, or in the street\, or the kitchen\, or anywhere\, and from that it blossoms into a highly amusing anecdote or a strange flight of fancy. \nAlun has several television appearances to his name\, most recently Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow\, and Dave's One Night Stand\, but he's also often seen on Have I Got News For You\, 8 Out of 10 Cats\, Mock The Week\, and has appeared on Soccer A.M and Live At The Comedy Store. \nAlun’s dulcet tones can also be heard frequently on BBC Radio 4 on Alun Cochrane’s Fun House\, Just A Minute\, Dilemma and The Now Show\, whilst Alun is also affectionately known as the Cockerel on Absolute Radio's Frank Skinner Show. \n“Cochrane’s dour and grumpy onstage persona is allied to a real craft and creativity in his writing\, yielding results that satisfy both the comedy purists and those who simply want big belly laughs on a night out” - The Guardian \n“A master storyteller\, holding the audience before dropping an exploding but simple punchline...” - Metro \n“Alun Cochrane's ability to make the little things in life a comedy goldmine is phenomenal” - Chortle \n  \n \nStephanie Laing\nGoofy and peculiar\, Stephanie Laing’s comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness\, filth and unusual observations\, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable. \nA regular on the circuit Stephanie has also become a stalwart of comedy festivals across the country having appeared at Brighton Fringe\, Leicester Comedy Festival\, York Comedy Festival\, Bath Comedy Festival\, Women in Comedy Festival as well as appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe every year since 2010. Not content with just performing in the UK Stephanie has also appeared at UCB in New York & The Laugh Factory in L.A. \nMost recently in 2018 Stephanie took her solo show ‘Mad About The Boy’ to the Melbourne\, Adelaide & Perth comedy festivals. \n“Laing is a jovial\, baby faced performer who comes across as utterly unencumbered\, so it doesn’t especially feel like adult humour when it plainly is... Laing has a Sarah Millican-esque appeal” - Chortle \n“Disgusting and delightful in equal measure. She is definitely one to watch” - Three Weeks \n“Gloriously silly … wonderfully unpretentious” - Broadway Baby \n  \n  \n \nLee Kyle\nIn his never ending quest not to have a proper job\, Lee Kyle spent time as part of an all male Spice Girls tribute act before spending a decade as a professional wrestler. \nManaging the difficult trick of being both odd and relatable\, he did a show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013 that he heard was well received but he doesn't read reviews because his psyche is too fragile to handle them so he isn't totally sure what they said. \nArmed with props and a rapid gag rate he cuts a confident\, if off-beat figure on stage. His jokes veer between the clever and the silly and deliver more than their fair share of belly laughs. \n“Had everyone on their feet - Sublimely ridiculous” - The Northern Echo \n“A brilliant performance.. Pure genius!” - NARC Magazine \n“Quirky and original - the highlight of the night” - Giggle Beats \n  \nThis show will also feature a newer act in the middle. \n  \nNote: Line-ups are subject to change in extreme\, and unavoidable\, circumstances.\nShow may contain strong language and adult themes.\n\nTimings\nDoors open: 7:30pm\nShow starts: 8pm \n\nBuy tickets:\nTickets for this show are £10 per person\, and should be booked in the group size that you wish to sit in. DESCRIPTION:Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Duncan Oakley\, Josh Pugh\, and host Lee Kyle\nShow details:\n \nDuncan Oakley\nAward-winning comedy songwriter Duncan Oakley has been performing on the UK club and festival circuit since 1999. In that time Duncan has appeared on BBC3\, Channel 4 and BBC Radio 4 as well as having a lead role as Eddie in Beat 24's feature film Frontman (a film that won awards but sadly never achieved major release despite Oakley being brilliant in it). \nProudly childlike\, musical comedian Duncan Oakley can be playful and daft but is always infectiously funny. \nExpect big laughs from your inner oaf. \n“Leaping between stupidity and pure brilliance” - Yorkshire Evening Post \n“Oakley's routine deftly mixes the tunes with the stand-up” - City Life \n“Brilliant. A true\, funny entertainer” - BAFTA winner Dave Johns \n  \n \nJosh Pugh\nEnglish Comedian of the Year 2016Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award Winner 2015Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year Award 2015

Midlands New Act of the Year 2014 (and 2015 somehow)

\nHot off winning the Midland New Act of the Year in 2014 and 2015\, Josh Pugh rapidly shot to the upper echelons of UK stand-up\, winning English Comedian of the Year 2016\, only two years after playing his first gig. \nHe also won the Funhouse Gong Show as well as the Best New Act prizes at both the 2015 Birmingham and Nottingham Comedy Festivals. \nJosh’s clever\, original\, and (most importantly) very funny writing and performing continues to bring in plaudits\, from Chortle to the Londonist to the London Evening Standard\, and he undoubtedly has a blindingly bright future. \n“Pleasingly off the beaten track” - The Londonist \n“Excellent writing from a peculiar and offbeat mind... an almost certain future star” - Chortle \n  \n \nLee Kyle\nIn his never ending quest not to have a proper job\, Lee Kyle spent time as part of an all male Spice Girls tribute act before spending a decade as a professional wrestler. \n  \nNote: Line-ups are subject to change in extreme\, and unavoidable\, circumstances.\nShow may contain strong language and adult themes.\n\n\nBuy tickets:\nTickets for this show are £10 per person\, and should be booked in the group size that you wish to sit in.
