Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Laura Lexx and Steve Bugeja
Show details:

Laura Lexx: Knee Jerk (Work in Progress)
Star of Live at the Apollo, Laura Lexx is a “bouncy, bubbly stand up star” (Telegraph).
Her sell-out 2018 show “Trying”, was “a masterpiece” ***** (Voice) and earned her a prestigious Comic’s Comic Award. Now, Lexx takes on society’s big issues, but come for jokes not answers.
The world seems furious at the moment… over Brexit, carbon, gender, plastic, nationality and whether or not we should be aiming for the future or the past. Maybe Laura is projecting, but is all this arguing and fighting down to the fact we’re absolutely terrified?
In Knee Jerk, Laura is using the tricks she learned to cope with her eco-anxiety to try and soothe the world’s temper and calm down our various phobias.
“stomach-achingly funny” – ★★★★ – Entertainment Focus
“another skilfully-constructed hour from an underrated performer” – ★★★★ – Fest

Steve Bugeja: Single Mum (Work in Progress)
Steve helped his single mum find her Prince Charming all while learning his times tables. (He was seven).
The host of Radio 4’s Economics with Subtitles returns following four critically-acclaimed shows.
As seen on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), The Zoe Ball Show (ITV1), Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), Love Island Aftersun (ITV2) and Comedy Up Late (ABC TV) at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

“Plentiful jokes and compelling storytelling” – The Scotsman
