Hilarity Bitesize New Act & New Material Night, with Tony Cowards, Nick Cranston, host Kieran Lawless & support
Show details:
Tony Cowards
Tony is a rapidfire gag merchant with an arsenal full of one-liners, for laughs-per-minute he's a tough act to beat!
His quick wit has made him a sought after act and compere by comedy clubs and promoters across the UK and even for gigs worldwide. Something of a Twitter sensation, Tony's jokes turn up in all sorts of places, from greetings cards to The Times newspaper, even if you've never heard of him there's a good chance that you'll have laughed at one of his gags.
Tony’s likable ‘everyman’ character and wide ranging humour (mostly clean) means he is comfortable in front of any audience and is regularly booked for comedy nights for the military, universities, sports clubs, festivals and after-dinner work. In July 2014, Tony placed third in the English Comedian of the Year Competition.

Nick Cranston
Since he first set foot on stage in 2008, Nick Cranston has cemented himself as one of the North East’s finest. After his first gig in Newcastle, he very quickly found himself performing all over the country; impressing audiences from Aberdeen to London and everywhere in between with his sharply written comedy. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Leicester Comedy Festival. His debut show, UnSuitable, proved his reputation as a fine act with a bag full of tools.
Whether a quick one liner or amusing musings, Nick has the tales, wit and gags to entertain any crowd.
