Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Nick Doody, Zoe, Josh Sedman, and host Dave Twentyman
Show details:

Nick Doody
Dave Gorman tour support
Nick Doody has been performing comedy since the 90s when, as a student, he got off to a pretty good start by supporting the legendary Bill Hicks, at Bill's request. A little later, Nick was a finalist in Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny? competition.
Since then he has performed all over the world: Ireland, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Estonia... You get the idea. He was the first British comedian to perform in Croatia.
Nick has appeared on various radio and TV shows, and is also much in demand as a writer. He has penned jokes for Joan Rivers, Lenny Henry, Dame Edna Everage and an uncomfortable number of Mock The Week regulars. He was also the creator and head writer of Bigipedia, a critically acclaimed Radio 4 show that broadcast in 2009 and 2011.
In 2006, Nick performed his first solo Edinburgh Festival show, Before He Kills Again. The show received rave reviews and sold out for the whole festival, leading to a run at the Soho Theatre. Since then, Nick has written and performed another six solo hours of stand-up, including the most honest title ever to appear on a poster, Look At This Massive Picture Of My Face.
“All hail Nick Doody... true comedy gold: polished, rich in material and a find among all the fools” - Metro
“This is simply the best unadulterated, gimmick-free hour of pure stand-up I’ve seen so far this Fringe” - Chortle
“A no-nonsense stand up comic who is genuinely funny” - Three Weeks

Zoe
Zoe is a dog obsessed eccentric outsider with limited social skills but with an interesting and fresh perspective on life.
Simultaneously naive and intense, Zoe pushes acceptable boundaries whilst ensuring everyone laughs to the point of being unattractive.
One of the most incredible live acts in the UK, Zoe will leave a lasting memory with everyone who sees her.
“She had the room spellbound – and in gales of laughter. Zoe’s a fully-formed character, simultaneously naive and intense, complete with nervous guttural chortle that has impressed BBC comedy” - Chortle
“Zoe is a force of nature and has the audience in the palm of her hand, occasionally squeezing them to the point of collapse. A stand out act, tipped for stardom and like nothing you’ve seen before” - Felt Nowt
“Some of our most legendary and unforgettable gigs have had Zoe headlining - always guaranteed to bring the house down with her absolute command of an audience. One of the funniest acts to come out of the North East in years! It definitely won’t be long before we’re seeing her on our screens!” - Mr Shindig's Comedy

Josh Sedman
Josh is a comedian who has had rapid career progression over the last 18 months, and is an act who has had fantastic reviews wherever he has performed. He comes fully equipped with 'Wetherby Teeth' (Yorkshire's superior version of 'Turkey Teeth'), a razor-sharp wit, and a lovely head of hair.
His self-deprecating humour and playful audience interaction have left rooms in stitches up and down the country, leading to Josh being named ‘Cat and Stick Comedy’s New Comedian of the Year 2023’.
“Sedman has a solid construction to his set, the laughs come regularly, he's a warm presence and his performance was punchy. This was a great performance” - Notts Comedy Review
“Josh is quick witted, cheeky, charming and comedically brilliant from concept to execution. Yet another criminally underrated act who's got the talent of a top pro, and guaranteed to have the room fall about with mirth, whatever room he's in. Funny stories, funny delivery, weaved together by a naturally funny man” - Blizzard Comedy
“Bossed the room from start to finish and the audience loved him, such an engaging perform with killer material. Definitely one to watch” - Funnyjonescomedy

Dave Twentyman
Affable, quick-witted banter merchant, Dave Twentyman survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a smile that he somehow stole from Barry Manilow. This is a man who could teach Teflon a trick-or-two but who remains vastly more fun than your average frying-pan. What higher praise can there be?
No matter what your mood, you really can't help but warm to Dave. He puts a big smile on everyone's face. His chatty, cheeky style endears him to the toughest of crowds. Dave talks a lot about the subjects closer to home, such as family life & friends. Its lighthearted, positive fun, you can't help relating to.
A regular performer at many of the best weekend clubs in the country, Dave has also performed at a number of music festivals over the years such as Leeds, V Festival, Download, etc
“Thoroughly impressed, best I've seen in ages. Great warmth and style” - Dave Spikey
“F**king Brilliant” - John Bishop
“Really like his stuff” - Jason Manford
