A regular at all the biggest comedy clubs in the UK; whether going for the kill with his playful filth-mongering and hilarious\, furious tirades against minor annoyances or holding a night together with his genial but sharp hosting skills\, he can adapt to any kind of crowd and event. \nRob is the co-host of hit podcast “Dead Men Talking”\, has written for Mock The Week\, and was seen on BBC iPlayer’s "Comedians’ Rap Battles". Rob has also won multiple awards\, including being the English Comedian of the Year joint winner\, Beat The Frog World Series Winner\, Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year Winner\, Funhouse Comedy Champion of Champions\, and SA Search For A Star Winner. DESCRIPTION:Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Paul ‘Silky’ White & Tony Cowards\nShow details:\n \nPaul 'Silky' White\nSilky has been a full time comedian since 1997. He did his first gig in 1994\, and his fourth gig (the final of the 1995 BBC New Comedy Awards alongside Lee Mack\, Daniel Kitson and Julian Barratt) was shown on BBC1’s Stand-Up Show. Other awards he has failed to win include the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (prize-winning runner-up 2000)\, the Liverpool Echo Arts and Entertainment Award (the only person to be nominated twice: always the sodding bridesmaid). \nSilky has performed internationally\, including gigs in China\, the Philippines\, the Gulf\, Singapore\, the US\, the Melbourne Comedy Festival\, and all over Europe\, including at the Glastonbury Festival\, where no-one lobbed bottles of wee\, much to his relief. He performed at the 2004 God’s Kitchen Global Gathering\, the 2005 Big Bang at Santa Pod\, and in the houseband for the Kilkenny Festival. Silky is also a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe\, where he plays to full houses every year at The Stand Comedy Club. \n“...a very\, very funny fella... just brilliant” - John Bishop \n“One of the comedy circuit’s most popular headliners... on the cusp of superstardom” - Yorkshire Life \n“Among the best of the circuit... born funny” - City Life \n“Always brilliant” - Metro \n  \n \nTony Cowards\nTony is a rapidfire gag merchant with an arsenal full of one-liners\, for laughs-per-minute he's a tough act to beat! \nHis quick wit has made him a sought after act and compere by comedy clubs and promoters across the UK and even for gigs worldwide. Something of a Twitter sensation\, Tony's jokes turn up in all sorts of places\, from greetings cards to The Times newspaper\, even if you've never heard of him there's a good chance that you'll have laughed at one of his gags. \nTony’s likable ‘everyman’ character and wide ranging humour (mostly clean) means he is comfortable in front of any audience and is regularly booked for comedy nights for the military\, universities\, sports clubs\, festivals and after-dinner work. In July 2014\, Tony placed third in the English Comedian of the Year Competition. \n“Tony Cowards as the MC skilfully whipped the full house into a state of rapture in anticipation of the evening's special guest” - Three Weeks \n“The best joke writer around” - GQ \n“The Punosaurus” - The List \n“A beaut of a one-liner merchant” - LondonisFunny.com \n  \n \nRick Molland\nNot many Englishmen can cut it as an MC in a Scottish Comedy Club - but that's exactly what Rick Molland did every weekend of the year for years. \nAn award winning film maker and former Scottish Comedian of the Year runner-up\, having proven his comedy metal in some of the most formidable environments Scotland has to offer\, including T in the Park\, Rockness\, and The Wickerman Festivals\, Rick Molland is the former resident compère at Edinburgh's Monkey Barrel Comedy Club. \n“no-holds-barred comedy” - Edinburgh Evening News \n“perfect for the role of compere” - Three Weeks \n“ audacious” - The Scotsman \n  \nThis show will also feature a newer act in the middle. \n\nRules / Restrictions \nWe want everybody to be safe and enjoy this show as much as possible\, so please follow the below instructions: \n\nTickets are limited to only 15 groups of people\, and are sold in group sizes of 2-6. DESCRIPTION:*** Unfortunately\, this show has been cancelled. Ticket refunds are available from original point of sale. ***\nHilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Tez Ilyas & Josh Pugh\nShow details:\n \nTez Ilyas\nHost of Channel 4's The Tez O’Clock ShowBBC New Talent Hot List 2017Chortle Best Breakthrough Act Nominee 2017\nTez Ilyas hit the ground running. In his first three years as a stand up\, he found himself in no less than eight competition finals including the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award and Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year. A sell out run at the Soho Theatre and his own BBC Radio 4 series based on the show followed\, with a second series released in 2018 and a third already commissioned. \nIn 2016\, his highly anticipated follow up show\, Made in Britain\, went on to sell out every single performance (including extra shows) at the Edinburgh Fringe and gained spectacular critical acclaim\, with a smash hit nationwide tour in 2017. \nHis third show\, Teztify\, once again delivered a spectacularly powerful\, provocative and brilliantly funny hour of topical stand up\, delivering to packed out audiences night after night\, followed in 2018 by his second sell-out nationwide tour. \nTez is one of the stars of hit sitcom Man Like Mobeen (BBC Three) and has appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC One)\, Mock the Week (BBC Two)\, The Last Leg (C4)\, Live From the BBC (BBC Two)\, Live from the Comedy Store (Comedy Central)\, Kevin Hart’s Live from Montreal (LOL Network)\, Virtually Famous (E4)\, The Now Show (BBC Radio 4) and made a brand new quiz show pilot for Vice. \n“Tez Ilyas’s political stand-up is candyfloss with a razorblade inside: sweet and familiar at first\, then shockingly\, painfully sharp. It’s the kind of manoeuvre that takes serious talent to pull off” - ★★★★ - The Telegraph \n“Ilyas has a slickness more reminiscent of US comics\, and the gags to back it up\, though his most prized asset could yet be his bold\, subversive streak” - ★★★★ - The Guardian \n“Radiantly entertaining” - ★★★★ - The Times \n  \n \nJosh Pugh\nEnglish Comedian of the Year 2016Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award Winner 2015Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year Award 2015

Midlands New Act of the Year 2014 (and 2015 somehow)

\nHot off winning the Midland New Act of the Year in 2014 and 2015\, Josh Pugh rapidly shot to the upper echelons of UK stand-up\, winning English Comedian of the Year 2016\, only two years after playing his first gig. \nHe also won the Funhouse Gong Show as well as the Best New Act prizes at both the 2015 Birmingham and Nottingham Comedy Festivals. \nJosh’s clever\, original\, and (most importantly) very funny writing and performing continues to bring in plaudits\, from Chortle to the Londonist to the London Evening Standard\, and he undoubtedly has a blindingly bright future. \n“Pleasingly off the beaten track” - The Londonist \n“Excellent writing from a peculiar and offbeat mind... an almost certain future star” - Chortle \n\nRules / Restrictions \nWe want everybody to be safe and enjoy this show as much as possible\, so please follow the below instructions: \n\nIn order to comply with the latest regulations\, tickets are limited to only 14 groups of people\, and are sold in groups of 2 only. DESCRIPTION:*** Unfortunately\, this show has been cancelled. Ticket refunds are available from original point of sale. ***\nHilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Steve Day & Dave Twentyman\nShow details:\n \nSteve Day\nSteve Day describes himself as Britains only deaf comedian\, and if there are any others then he hasn't heard. Actually there are a couple of others who have started since he wrote that joke\, but it's only a joke after all. \nFor the past dozen years Steve has been performing to huge laughter around the country and abroad - well\, they tell him the laughter was huge to humour him\, he doesn't know either way. \nMarried with five children (a fact nothing to do with not being able to hear the word 'No') Steve has been described as 'warm and witty' by the Scotsman and has received many other rave reviews whilst performing shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Chortle gave him five stars in 2007 for Deafy's Island Discs\, a show The Sunday Times called 'Funny and Moving'. \n“Revelatory and very funny” - The Guardian \n“Warm\, funny\, frank and thought-provoking” - The Scotsman \n“Wonderful” - Bath Chronicle \n  \n \nDave Twentyman\nAffable\, quick-witted banter merchant\, Dave Twentyman survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid\, startlingly-bright patter and a smile that he somehow stole from Barry Manilow. This is a man who could teach Teflon a trick-or-two but who remains vastly more fun than your average frying-pan. What higher praise can there be? \nNo matter what your mood\, you really can't help but warm to Dave. He puts a big smile on everyone's face. His chatty\, cheeky style endears him to the toughest of crowds. Dave talks a lot about the subjects closer to home\, such as family life & friends. Its lighthearted\, positive fun\, you can't help relating to. \nA regular performer at many of the best weekend clubs in the country\, Dave has also performed at a number of music festivals over the years such as Leeds\, V Festival\, Download\, etc \n “Thoroughly impressed\, best I've seen in ages. Great warmth and style” - Dave Spikey \n“F**king Brilliant” - John Bishop \n“Really like his stuff” - Jason Manford \n\nRules / Restrictions \nWe want everybody to be safe and enjoy this show as much as possible\, so please follow the below instructions: \n\nIn order to comply with the latest regulations\, tickets are limited to only 14 groups of people\, and are sold in groups of 2 only. Black humour\, observations and moronic jokes complete the unique and stand-alone experience of seeing this greatly original\, angry comedian. \nVery much the last ever punk rocker\, people that take to Gavin Webster are fans for life and stay loyal to him throughout. His unique style has brought him praise and attention from throughout the national media\, as well as many roles on TV and radio\, including an appearance on Never Mind The Buzzcocks. \n“Funny\, clever and as brilliantly observed as you’ll find” - The Scotsman \n“Palpably funny” - ★★★★★ - Herald \n“His daftness is little short of surreal genius” - The Stage \n  \nThis show will also feature a newer act in the middle. \n  \n\nOver the last 30 years Children with Cancer UK has funded over 200 research projects and helped fund research centres and respite homes across the country. DESCRIPTION:Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Steve Shanyaski\, Rob Kemp\, and host Lee Kyle\nShow details:\n \nSteve Shanyaski\nEndlessly charming\, Steve's inherent warmth and cheeky\, roguish twinkle shines through his material. Within the first six months of his comedy career he made it through to the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedian of the Year\, the North West Comedian of the Year Final\, and later that year was booked to appear on the BBC7 Radio Showcase 'Spanking New'. Since then he has gone from strength to strength\, adding TV appearances such as 'Jason Manford's Comedy Rocks' on ITV\, and Comedy Central's 'Comedy Store Presents...'.
\nCombining surreal observations with wildly tangential imaginings\, his off kilter set pieces have audiences fully immersed as he leads them\, Pied Piperlike\, down the charming avenues of his inner mind.
\n“One of my favourite comedians” - Jason Manford \n“Like a mixture between Eddie Izzard and Peter Kay… with a guitar” - Stockport Express \n“Uproariously funny” - Chortle \n  \n \nRob Kemp\nBest Newcomer (nominee): Edinburgh Comedy Award 2017Best Performer: Comedians' Choice Awards Edinburgh 2017Best Show: Leicester Comedy Festival 2017\nRob Kemp is the "twisted genius" (The Sunday Times) behind 2017's smash hit festival show The Elvis Dead. The show garnered rave reviews and accolades\, won multiple awards\, and secured Rob's status as one of the most creative and original voices in comedy. He's since performed The Elvis Dead around the country including a hit run at the Soho Theatre. \nIn 2018 Rob encored The Elvis Dead\, as well as performing a brand new show\, Rob Kemp's Wheel of Shows. \n2019 saw Rob return to Edinburgh for the third time with his latest solo show Moonraker 2: Moonrakerer. He also starred in Nick Helm's 'I Think\, You Stink!' \n“Twisted genius” - ★★★★ - Sunday Times \n“Very funny” - ★★★★★ - BeyondTheJoke.co.uk \n“Genius” - ★★★★ - Fest \n  \n \nLee Kyle\nIn his never ending quest not to have a proper job\, Lee Kyle spent time as part of an all male Spice Girls tribute act before spending a decade as a professional wrestler. \nManaging the difficult trick of being both odd and relatable\, he did a show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013 that he heard was well received but he doesn't read reviews because his psyche is too fragile to handle them so he isn't totally sure what they said. \nArmed with props and a rapid gag rate he cuts a confident\, if off-beat figure on stage. His jokes veer between the clever and the silly and deliver more than their fair share of belly laughs. \n“Had everyone on their feet - Sublimely ridiculous” - The Northern Echo \n“A brilliant performance.. Pure genius!” - NARC Magazine \n“Quirky and original - the highlight of the night” - Giggle Beats \n  \nThis show will also feature a newer act in the middle. \n  \nNote: Line-ups are subject to change in extreme\, and unavoidable\, circumstances.\nShow may contain strong language and adult themes.\n\nBuy tickets:

SUMMARY:Darlington\, February 13th 2020
DESCRIPTION:Tom Binns: The Psychic Comedium\nShow details:\n\nMulti award-winning comedian Tom Binns has performed his Psychic Character Ian D Montfort to 5-star reviews around the world. \nHe’s entertained and amazed sceptics and believers alike on his own BBC Radio 2 series ‘Ian D Montfort is: Unbelievable’\, his critically acclaimed BBC One series ‘Hospital People’\, and in the smash hit British film ‘Eaten By Lions’. \nDuring this time Tom appears to have started to believe he has genuine psychic ability and now performs as The Psychic Comedium. \n“I’ve discovered I have psychic abilities that are at least as strong as anyone who has ever claimed to be a psychic. If not stronger” \nIn his performances Tom clearly makes jaw-dropping revelations about his audience but is he gifted? Is he deluded? Or is he just full of sh*t? \nWhatever you decide his gift for comedy is undeniable and his psychic powers are unbelievable! \n“Binns has either gone native or so deeply ironic that he’s lost touch with reality. I can only assume he’d sell more tickets as a ‘real’ psychic. In this post-truth\, end of days\, era we are living in\, why not? Best of luck to him” – Horizon \n  \nThis show will also feature support from Cats Does Countdown favourite Ivan Brackenbury. \n  \n\nBuy tickets:
