Phil Chapman is one of the most prolific writers on the circuit, ensuring his material is up to date and the audience get a fresh show every time they see him. His work rate has not gone unnoticed and in the past he’s been invited to write for BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack.

A quick wit and a constant turnover of material have ensured he has become a highly sought after act and MC. He’s a regular host at the world famous Hot Water Comedy Club as well as many other major clubs in the UK as well as abroad, and Phil has a wealth of material and sketches available online. Not only a hit on the comedy scene, he’s also a recognised musical artist with his smash hit single Slogans in collaboration with DJ Hans Face Space, which was released to great fanfare during the pandemic.

Michael Holford

Michael Holford

Michael bounds onto stage with an enthusiasm that is infectious and immediately welcomes the audience in.

His act is a lovely mix of his childhood, the characters he has met along the way, and stories of married life that people find extremely relatable. The amount of knowing looks and and nods in the crowd always backs this up.

There's a delightful tone to Holford's work that treads very carefully through his family tales that always shows a love and affection towards those he jokes about. There's also a wide range of tales to keep all tastes happy - while his marriage material appeals to the couples in the audience, he embraces a wide demographic with his gags that leave nobody feeling left out.

Michael is a storyteller, but there are still plenty of punchlines throughout his set. Holford has the ability to make crowds of any age roar with laughter, and sends them away appreciating what good live comedy can do.

“He absolutely blew us away - great comedy and great entertainment” - Jesterval

“Just wasn’t expecting that, loved the passion and loved the delivery... we want him back” - Lindisfarne Festival

“Smashed it yet again. Great work!” - Punch Drunk Comedy
