Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Duncan Oakley, Danny Pensive, and host Tom Houghton
Show details:

Duncan Oakley
Award-winning comedy songwriter Duncan Oakley has been performing on the UK club and festival circuit since 1999. In that time Duncan has appeared on BBC3, Channel 4 and BBC Radio 4 as well as having a lead role as Eddie in Beat 24's feature film Frontman (a film that won awards but sadly never achieved major release despite Oakley being brilliant in it).
Proudly childlike, musical comedian Duncan Oakley can be playful and daft but is always infectiously funny.
Expect big laughs from your inner oaf.
“Leaping between stupidity and pure brilliance” - Yorkshire Evening Post

“Brilliant. A true, funny entertainer” - BAFTA winner Dave Johns

Danny Pensive
Danny Pensive's offbeat comedy has picked up a cult following across the UK. Described variously as 'Vic and Bob meets Samuel Beckett', and the 'lovechild of Siadwel and Sarah Millican'. The South Wales Post hailed him as 'a truly inspired comedian. Gloriously deadpan and very funny’ and the BBC said he’s ‘a superb creation, brilliantly done’.
Danny has supported Milton Jones on tour, and played to sell out crowds in prestigious venues such as the West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Kingston Rose Theatre and the Udderbelly Southbank. Following a successful Edinburgh 2011, Danny took his debut show 'Danny Pensive's Map of Britain' on tour in the spring of 2012, and still regularly delights audiences at venues throughout the UK.
“Catch this comic idiot savant before Vic ‘n’ Bob snap him up” - The List
“Had them laughing in all the right places, with an audience who cheered him to the rafters” - Kendal Calling Festival
“Cutting Wit – There’s more to him than meet the eye” - Three Weeks

Tom Houghton
Tom Houghton was previously 1/5th of comedy troupe "The Noise Next Door" and is now taking the comedy circuit by storm with his quick wit, and charming persona.
Regularly performing up and down the country and abroad - as well as touring the country in his own sell-out solo showss - you may even have caught him on Netflix's "The Circle", Channel Four's "First Dates Hotel", or at his sell-out debut Edinburgh Fringe show, which went on tour in early 2018. Tom is also hugely popular on social media, with millions of views across all platforms.
