Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Andrew Bird, Robert White, and host Rob Mulholland
Andrew Bird is a top headline act at venues up and down the country, and has performed all around the world.
He has been a tour support for Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon and on his recent arena tour Michael McIntyre - including Wembley Area and the O2 Arena. He’s also one of only seven comedians to perform for Banksy at Dismal Land.
An in-demand writer, he’s written on TV shows Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown ,and Lee Mack’s Duck Quacks Don’t Echo. Andrew is also a regular guest on BBC Radio’s The Rhod Gilbert Show, and has been the warm-up artist for TV shows including Taskmaster, Nevermind The Buzzcocks, Room 101 and Pointless.
“Comedy gold...Bird’s going to be a star, catch him close-up now” - The Scotsman
“Superb” - Time Out
“Birdie supported me on my arena tour and made me laugh every night. A truly excellent comedian” - Michael McIntyre
Britain's Got Talent runner-up - 2018
Robert White is the only gay, aspergic, quarter-Welsh comic on the British comedy circuit. Known for his brilliant timing and performance style, Robert’s chaotic stage presence, improvisational skills and delivery won him the 2010 Malcolm Hardy Award for Comic Originality - and in the same year he wrote one of Dave’s Top Ten Jokes of The Fringe.
Since he first hit the stand-up scene in 2006, as a finalist in the prestigious Hackney Empire Competition, Robert has gone from strength to strength. He is now a sought after act who regularly performs across the country and internationally, and in Spring 2019 completed his first UK tour.
“Robert White killed with this show, matching an amazing presence to clever jokes and pitch-perfect delivery... Just brilliant” - ★★★★ - Chortle
“Get him on Shooting Stars - Robert White’s show is a jaw-dropping riot... the mix of lewd innuendo, cheesy jokes, music hall songs played on a knackered keyboard and sound-effects games makes for a side-splitting hour.” - ★★★★ - The List
“Delivering a mixture of stand up, songs, props and audience interaction, Robert White tries hard - and spectacularly succeeds... never seems to fail to provoke laughter” - ★★★★ - Three Weeks
One of the fastest rising comedians on the circuit, Rob Mulholland fell into comedy after finding a flyer looking for acts to appear at Harrogate Comedy Festival on the ground outside his front door. In the two years since, he has clocked up a huge amount of gigs all over the country ranging from tiny pubs to massive theatres (even performing to 2,000 bikers at an outdoor festival!), and can now be seen most weekends in some of the biggest comedy clubs in the country.
Just as at home as an act or compere, Rob mixes cheeky audience banter with his intricately woven, gag-packed stories; adding a touch of the absurd to his askance glance at everyday life. Rob is 17 feet tall, made of steel and can jump over a mini cooper from a standing start.
Rob won the Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year crown in 2015, and after finishing runner-up in the following year’s Great Yorkshire Fringe New Act of the Year competition has awarded himself the title of "Yorkshire’s Funniest Non-Musical Comedian". He was one half of the anarchic, late-night, yurt-based show #BlurredMinds at the 2015 Edinburgh festival and premiered his first solo show ‘Champion of Comedy’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2016.
“Very, very tall and equally as talented” - Time Out
“Great delivery and a confident swagger... A riot” - Lancashire Evening Telegraph
“Perfect delivery... had the audience bursting into spontaneous applause” - York Press
This show will also feature a newer act in the middle.
