Nick Doody\, Kevin Precious\, and host Alex Boardman\nShow details:\n \nNick Doody\nDave Gorman tour support\nNick Doody has been performing comedy since the 90s when\, as a student\, he got off to a pretty good start by supporting the legendary Bill Hicks\, at Bill's request. A little later\, Nick was a finalist in Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny? competition. \nSince then he has performed all over the world: Ireland\, France\, Spain\, Switzerland\, Germany\, The Netherlands\, Dubai\, United Arab Emirates\, Qatar\, Hong Kong\, Thailand\, Malaysia\, Estonia... You get the idea. He was the first British comedian to perform in Croatia. \nNick has appeared on various radio and TV shows\, and is also much in demand as a writer. He has penned jokes for Joan Rivers\, Lenny Henry\, Dame Edna Everage and an uncomfortable number of Mock The Week regulars. He was also the creator and head writer of Bigipedia\, a critically acclaimed Radio 4 show that broadcast in 2009 and 2011. \nIn 2006\, Nick performed his first solo Edinburgh Festival show\, Before He Kills Again. The show received rave reviews and sold out for the whole festival\, leading to a run at the Soho Theatre. Since then\, Nick has written and performed another six solo hours of stand-up\, including the most honest title ever to appear on a poster\, Look At This Massive Picture Of My Face. \n“All hail Nick Doody... true comedy gold: polished\, rich in material and a find among all the fools” - Metro \n“This is simply the best unadulterated\, gimmick-free hour of pure stand-up I’ve seen so far this Fringe” - Chortle \n“A no-nonsense stand up comic who is genuinely funny” - Three Weeks \n  \n \nKevin Precious\nKevin Precious has had something of a long and varied career in the business of show\, making his first tentative foray into the world of entertainment as a teenage bass playing dirt bag in the working men's clubs in his native city of Hull. \nVenturing South\, he continued his musical adventures\, and in the 1990s\, Kevin set up a 'Pop Quiz' in a trendy boozer in Camden\, which rapidly became laden with celebrities and culminated in him being asked to organise and compere the NME's first national pop quiz. It was these events that would later inspire a move into comedy. Sometime thereafter he took the plunge. \nCombining comedy with time as a mature student\, and later a full-time teacher\, Kevin finally took the plunge to turn full-time in 2005\, and has since toured throughout the UK and performed dates throughout Europe. Meanwhile\, in 2008\, he compered the ‘Loaded Lafta’ awards\, presenting awards to Jimmy Carr\, Adam Buxton\, Paul Kaye\, and Harry Enfield\, to name but a few. \n“If he were any more laid back he'd fall over - we fell over laughing” - The Evening Standard \n“Instantly recognisable stage presence and boundless wit” - Leicester Mercury \n“Kevin's stage charisma and poise set him head and shoulders above the rest” - The Times \n  \n \nAlex Boardman\nA lifelong comedy fan\, Alex Boardman stormed onto the scene and quickly became one of the most popular choices on the circuit during the late 90’s. A full time comic since 1998\, his skills as a writer have also been in constant demand for Britain’s most cutting edge prime time TV and Radio comedy shows. If you’ve found yourself falling off your chair in a fit of giggles watching TV’s latest successful comedy offering\, the chances are\, Alex is responsible. \nAlex is now one of the most sought after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing. His free flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances. His unique brand of “flattery and abuse” is done with a lack of malice and a big sense of fun. \nAlex was one of a small band of writers who worked on the second series of John Bishop’s Britain on BBC 1 and he made a significant contribution to it being the highest rated stand up show of 2011 bringing in six million viewers a week.
