Hilarious musical comedian and Perrier and Chortle award winning act Christian Reilly is our headliner for June’s show at the Town Hall. Christian’s career has taken him around the world three times. On his way, he received accolades at international festivals and numerous network TV credits. Joining Christian is gender fluid, dyspraxic comedian Sam Serrano, who has been taking the circuit by storm, a newer act in the middle, and host for the night is returning Kiwi comedian Sully O’Sullivan.

Winner of four NZ Comedy Guild Awards, Matt Stellingwerf is taking the UK comedy circuit by storm after dominating the comedy stages of his native New Zealand for five years before moving to the UK. Joining Matt at August’s show is 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Festival best newcomer nominee Lauren Pattison, who has appeared as a stand-up, actor, and panel show guest across TV shows in the UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. The always warm and welcoming Carl Jones is host for the evening.

September’s comedy night at Bishop Auckland Town Hall is headlined by one of the most exciting acts on the UK comedy circuit at the moment, Josh Jones. After his hilarious debut TV appearances on E4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and ITV’s Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Josh has gone on to host BBC Three’s Fast Food Face-Off, Channel 4’s VIPees, as well as making guest appearances on countless TV shows, and being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards prior to sell-out UK tours! Joining Josh is popular guitar-wielding comedian Jenny Hart, whilst South African comedian Devin Gray will perform the middle spot, and the always popular Danny Deegan will be on hosting duties.

Madcap Canadian comedian Tony Law tops the bill at October’s Hilarity Bites show. Tony is a three-time Chortle Award winner, an Amused Moose Best Show winner, and an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, whilst his extensive TV and radio credits include: Have I Got News For You (BBC One), The Alternative Comedy Experience (Comedy Central), 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), and Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC Two). Joining Tony is one of the best joke writers and performers in the UK, Peter Brush, and host for the night is the always entertaining Catherine Young.

November's show at Bishop Auckland will be headlined by popular comedian and podcaster Eddy Brimson. Since turning to comedy in 1999, Eddy has well and truly established himself on the live circuit and is regarded by some as one of the leading headline comics in British comedy and the world, having gigged all across the globe. Joining Eddy is Manchester based Faizan Shah, a newer act in the middle, and host for the night is returning Kiwi comedian Sully O’Sullivan - bringing a truly international feel to the show.
