SUMMARY:Darlington\, October 19th 2026
DESCRIPTION:Hilarity Bitesize New Act & New Material Night\, with David Eagle\, Dominic Hatton-Woods\, host Aaron Twitchen & support\nShow details:\n \nDavid Eagle\nIn 2018 David began performing stand up comedy. He was awarded the New Act Of The Year prize at 2018’s Nottingham Comedy Festival. In 2019 he won Bath Comedy Festival’s New Comedian Of The Year and the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian Of The Year. \nIn 2022 David performed stand up on BBC Radio 4’s topical comedy programme The Now Show. He frequently supports Boothby Graffoe on tour\, and he also starred in Tony Law and Phil Nichol’s improvised 2019 Edinburgh Fringe show. \nDavid is one third of three-time BBC Radio 2 folk Award winning band The Young’uns. You may have heard them performing on BBC Radio 2 and 3\, or maybe seen them on BBC’s Springwatch. They’ve also done a couple of documentaries for BBC Radio 4. Or perhaps – and granted\, this is unlikely\, but maybe – you heard them in the Aardman Animations film Itch of the Golden Nit\, in which they played the role of Vic Reeves’ pirate backing band. They perform at venues and festivals in the UK and all over the world\, including Cambridge Folk Festival and Glastonbury\, where they played on stage with Billy Bragg. \n“a comic tour de force” - The Guardian \n“David Eagle is a genuine stand up rookie phenomenon! Looking forward to hearing more” - Reginald D. Hunter \n“Brilliant\, nuts\, heartily recommend” - Rufus Hound \n  \n \nDom Hatton-Woods\nTik Tok favourite Dom Hatton-Woods is a hit both online and in person with his slightly confused\, slightly arrogant persona. \nHailing from the North\, Dom has plays clubs and theatres nationwide\, and is tipped to be one of the next biggest things in British comedy. \nYou may have seen him opening for Daliso Chaponda\, Jamali Maddix\, or Jeff Innocent\, or you might be one of the 10 million+ people who have seen his TikTok videos. If so\, come along. If not\, still come along. \n  \n  \n \nAaron Twitchen\nAaron Twitchen is a stand up\, actor\, aerialist\, and living stereotype. \nAs well as featuring on BBC Radio 4\, he was listed in Metro's top 5 RomComs and has provided tour support for Luisa Omielan. He has also been releasing his sketch series\, DiscoBlonde\, in weekly instalments\, and in its first six weeks it has enjoyed upwards of eighteen thousand views. \nAway from comedy\, Aaron has supported bands at music festivals\, and is an accomplished stage actor and improviser. Unusually\, he is also a trained circus act\, concentrating particularly on aerial skills and trapeze work\, which has allowed him to tour circus theatres throughout the country and teach young people. \n“Twitchen's a terrific host\, kind and self-deprecating with plenty of catty put-downs” - The Skinny \n“Twitchen is an assured stand-up and navigates both his material and his venue with style... He is a flexible improviser\, in tune with the spirit of live comedy” - Broadway Baby \n“Hilarious\, warm\, energetic and capable of busting some serious moves. Twitchen is a quadruple threat” - The Skinny \n  \nThis show will also feature support from several new acts\, and established acts performing new material. \n  \nNote: Line-ups are subject to change in extreme\, and unavoidable\, circumstances.\nShow may contain strong language and adult themes.\n\nTimings\nDoors open: 7pm\nShow starts: 7:30pm \n\nBuy tickets:\nTickets for this show are £10 per person\, with doors opening at 7pm and the show starting at 7:30pm. Tickets can be bought from the link below\, See Tickets\, TicketMaster\, Skiddle\, or contact the venue directly.
