SUMMARY:Horbury\, June 14th 2019
DESCRIPTION:Hilarity Bites Comedy Club feat. Tom Binns: The Psychic Comedium\, Ivan Brackenbury\, and host Pete Otway\nShow details:\n \nTom Binns: The Psychic Comedium\nMulti award-winning comedian Tom Binns has performed his Psychic Character Ian D Montfort to 5-star reviews around the world. \nHe’s entertained and amazed sceptics and believers alike on his own BBC Radio 2 series ‘Ian D Montfort is: Unbelievable’\, his critically acclaimed BBC One series 'Hospital People'\, and in the smash hit British film 'Eaten By Lions'. \nDuring this time Tom appears to have started to believe he has genuine psychic ability and now performs as The Psychic Comedium. \n"I've discovered I have psychic abilities that are at least as strong as anyone who has ever claimed to be a psychic. If not stronger” \nIn his performances Tom clearly makes jaw-dropping revelations about his audience but is he gifted? Is he deluded? Or is he just full of sh*t? \nWhatever you decide his gift for comedy is undeniable and his psychic powers are unbelievable! \n“Binns has either gone native or so deeply ironic that he’s lost touch with reality. I can only assume he’d sell more tickets as a 'real' psychic. In this post-truth\, end of days\, era we are living in\, why not? Best of luck to him” - Horizon \n“...remains hilarious even as the tricks become remarkable. This is two shows for one: Pin Sharp character comedy and metaphysical magic to boot” - The Guardian \n“Spookily skilful\, wonderfully observed and hysterically funny” - Time Out \n  \n \nIvan Brackenbury\nTop Ten Fosters Comedy God AwardsBest Established Comedian Nomination Adelaide Fringe 2010Chortle Top 50 Most Memorable Gigs of the Decade 2000-2010Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee 2007\nCat's Does Countdown favourite Ivan Brackenbury's fantastic 'Hospital Radio Roadshow'\, complete with inappropriate records and bungled cues\, is a regular fixture on the live circuit. A daft\, inept yet adorable radio DJ takes you on a hilarious broadcasting journey. This is a unique\, wonderfully brilliant show\, guaranteed to make you cry with laughter. \nIvan captures the fun and excitement you'd expect from being in hospital\, with games\, giveaways\, patients requests and his special blend of music and chat. An absolute must-see. \n“For simple laugh-'til you ache humour\, Ivan Brackenbury is the hit of the Fringe” - Evening Standard \n“Laughs per minute the funniest show at the Fringe” - Time Out \n“The whole room was in hysterics from the word go\, endorphin-filled laughter indeed proving the best medicine. Brackenbury is absolutely utterly hilarious - I can’t recommend this enough. Go see it” - The Age \n  \n \nPete Otway\nSince starting to perform in 2010\, Pete Otway has quickly gained momentum\, establishing himself as an extremely strong new act. As comfortable and confident as an MC as he is an act\, he is booked regularly to do both\, and was a recent finalist in the 2012 BBC New Comedy Awards. \nWith an affable and conversational style\, mixed with an energetic stage manner and original writing\, Pete is quickly making a name for himself on the UK circuit\, and is certainly one to watch. \n “Devastatingly funny” - Chortle \n“Amiable\, cheeky classic stand-up” - Liverpool Echo \n“An amazing comedy talent\, and we are making sure we are making sure we follow his every move in his ever rising career” - Crispy Comedy Club \n  \nThis show will also feature a newer act in the middle. \n  \n\nBuy tickets:
