Within the first six months of his comedy career he made it through to the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedian of the Year\, the North West Comedian of the Year Final\, and later that year was booked to appear on the BBC7 Radio Showcase 'Spanking New'. Since then he has gone from strength to strength\, adding TV appearances such as 'Jason Manford's Comedy Rocks' on ITV\, and Comedy Central's 'Comedy Store Presents...'.

The show garnered rave reviews and accolades\, won multiple awards\, and secured Rob's status as one of the most creative and original voices in comedy. He's since performed The Elvis Dead around the country including a hit run at the Soho Theatre. \nIn 2018 Rob encored The Elvis Dead\, as well as performing a brand new show\, Rob Kemp's Wheel of Shows. \n2019 saw Rob return to Edinburgh for the third time with his latest solo show Moonraker 2: Moonrakerer.
